Landmark Group Announces $100,000 Donation to Canadian Red Cross for Alberta Fire Appeal.

EDMONTON (May 6, 2016) – Landmark Group of Companies announced it will donate $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for emergency relief and recovery efforts to aid victims of the wildfires in Fort McMurray and the Wood Buffalo Region.
“We continue to send our thoughts and well wishes to those impacted by the fires,” said Reza Nasseri, founder and chief executive officer of Landmark Group of Companies. “We want to help with the humanitarian efforts to address the hardship and loss caused by this disaster. Being in the business of home building, we understand how important a home is to a family. It saddens me to see so many people forced out of their homes and the magnitude of loss in these communities.”
“We are proud to support the Red Cross in its efforts to assist those who have been affected in this difficult time,” he adds.
There will come a time to rebuild, and Landmark will continue to evaluate ways they can play a part in helping the men and women of Fort McMurray and the Wood Buffalo Region as they restore their communities.
Landmark established community support programs in 1996 to make significant and lasting contributions to charitable and community initiatives. Since its inception the program has contributed over $12 million to a variety of organizations, with a particular focus on post-secondary education, health care, affordable housing, the arts and programs and supports for First Nations and immigrants.
