In light of the ever-changing COVID-19 situation, Landmark Homes would like to share with you our internal construction policies. As this is an ever-evolving situation, please consider this an evolving document.
Effective March 16th, Landmark Homes has made some changes to ensure the safety of the workplace, employees, customer and their families. Where possible, our internal office departments have been equipped to work remotely. For our Sales our show homes are closed and offered by appointment only. For our construction department, business will operate as a limited capacity with the implementation of the safety guidelines as provided by the AHC website:
- Wash your hands often and well
- Avoid touching your face, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched. This includes increased cleaning frequency of our show homes and customer homes before occupancy.
- Stay at home and away from others if you are feeling ill
- Stay 2m away from workers
For our trade partners, we are requesting that work continue to the best of our collective abilities. Landmark has implemented a required “one-trade-at-a-time policy, where we will not schedule more than one trade at a time. In addition, Landmark is requesting the following safety measures, effective April 4th:
- Screening of workers before duty
- Reducing sharing of tools unless they are disinfected before and after each use
- Mandating proper social distancing of 2 meters
- PPE (personal protective equipment) ie. Gloves, masks.
- Staggering work shifts to limit activity on site (i.e. one trade working at a time in an area)
- COVID-19 Communication for staff (signage, e-mails, etc.)
Invoices: To limit our exposure, Landmark Homes is requesting invoices be emailed to APInvoices@landmarkhomes.ca or alternatively, mailed to our head office.
Trades Pay: Landmark will be not offering in-person cheque pickups at this time, it is our preference to have these mailed to stop the spread of infection.
We realize this is a big change for those trade partners who have supported us over many years, so please reach out so we can find alternate arrangements if required.
